هذا ناقوسٌ، أقرعه بما أوتيت من قوة في وادي الغفلة العربية، لعل أمتي تفيق من سباتها الذي طال، وتنزع عن عينيها غشاوة تعاونت الأنظمة العاتية مع قوى الإستعمار، حديثه وقديمه، في إبقائها على أدمغة وعيون العرب عقوداً طويلة.
يؤلمني، بل ويقض مضجعي، أن تنهض أمم صغيرة فقيرة جاهلة، خلال خمسة عقود، لتقضي على الجهل والفقر والأمية والجوع، وتمسك بناصية الصناعة والثقافة وترفل بأثواب الرفاهية، بينما تعوم أمتي على بحر من النفط، ينهب ريعه الحكام والأجانب، وتبقى الأغلبية المقموعة تكافح وتعاني الفقر والإحباط.
يغيظني أن تصل دولة مصطنعة لا يتجاوز عدد سكانها الملايين السبعة، إلى رقم رهيب في الناتج المحلي (245 مليار دولار عام 2011)، بينما تراوح إقتصاديات أمتي عند الحافة الدنيا.
أمتي العربية: لا ينقصها العلم ولا الذكاء ولا الفطنة، جلٌ ما ينقصها هو السيادة على مقدراتها، سيادة وطنية نظيفة، خاضعة للمساءلة والحساب.
