العلاقة بين الديني والدنيوي، هو المجال الذي تدور حوله رواية "رحلة شرف زيدون" للكاتبة أمل الحامد، والتي تضع القارئ أمام عملية مراوحة بين الزمن الماضي والحاضر، وإمكانية إستشراف المستقبل من خلال إعادة الإعتبار لشخصية تاريخية في السرد العربي القديم هي شخصية شمس الدين التبريزي، وقواعد "العشق الأربعون" المخطوط الذي كتبه عندما اكتملت معارفه عن هذا العالم، وأدرك أن رحلته على كوكب الأرض قد شارفت على الإنتهاء! شمس الدين التبريزي الذي اختار الترحال وكانت بغداد إحدى المدن التي ارتحل إليها.
وإذا كانت هذه رحلة شرف الدين التبريزي، فماذا عن رحلة شرف زيدون بطل هذه الرواية، الطفل الذي ولد في العراق بعدما زار شرف الدين التبريزي أمه "بلقيس" في الحلم، ولم تكن تعلم آنذاك أنها حامل، يُبشرها بولادة طفل سيجول العالم بحثاً عن دين الحب على خطأه! وعندما سألته بلقيس: "من أنت؟!"، أجابها "ستعرفين من أنا سريعاً! وسأتلو عليك هذه القاعدة من القواعد التي كتبتها في دين الحب: "لا يوجد فرق كبير بين الشرق والغرب، والجنوب والشمال فمهما كانت وجهتك، يجب أن تجعل الرحلة التي تقوم بها رحلة في داخلك، فإذا سافرت في داخلك فسيكون بوسعك إجتياز العالم الشاسع وما وراءه".
تتوالى الأحداث في الرواية حتى تلد بلقيس "شرف" وتذهب مع زوجها لزيارة ضريح شمس الدين التبريزي في إيران، وبعد وقوفها ساعات أمام ضريح هذا المعلم الروحاني النبيل، بدأت تسأله في قلبها: "لماذا زرتني في الرؤيا يا شمس؟ ما رسالتك لي؟".
وبعد، "رحلة شرف زيدون" هي رحلة صوب دين الحب، الحب الذي يغيرنا، فما إن تبدأ رحلة البحث عن الحب، حتى تبدأ تتغير من الداخل، والطريق إلى ذلك معرفتك بقلبك، وبنفسك، "إن معرفتك بنفسك ستقودك إلى معرفة الله".
