جمع المؤلف هذا الكتاب محذوف الأسانيد وعزاه الى كتب الأئمة رحمهم الله سبحانه وتعالى فإذا كان في الصحيحين أو أحدهما لم يعزه إلى غيره غالباً وإن كان في بعض السنن. لأن المقصود معرفة صحته لا كثرة الرواة له. و يبحث الكتاب في عدة مواضيع منها: كتاب الطهارة والصلاة والذكر من فضل الوضوء والأذان والتحميد وقيام شهر رمضان والاستغفار والصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. كتاب الجنائز وغيره من تغسيل للميت والصلاة عليه والشفاعة للميت ومن مات له أطفال والاسترجاع عند المصيبة. وكتاب الصيام وفضل الصوم وفضل صيام شهر رمضان والصيام في سبيل الله عز وجل وصيام الأيام البيض. كتاب الزكاة ونحوها وفضل أدائها وفضل الانفاق والغراس والزرع والاستعفاف وصلة الرحم وبر الوالدين. كتاب الحج وفضائل الحج والتلبية والوقوف بعرفة وماء زمزم الأضحية. كتاب الجهاد وفضل الغدو والرواح في سبيل اللله عز وجل وذكر أن الجنة تحت ظلال السيوف. كتاب النكاح وفضل النكاح والشفاعة فيه. كتاب فضائل القرآن وتعلمه والمهارة فيه وأهل القرآن هم أهل الله وخاصته. كتاب العلم وفضل من خرج في طلب العلم.
