لا يخفى على أحد أننا اليوم أحوج ما نكون إلى نقدٍ يعاين النص نفسه معاينة عارفٍ خبير بغية درسه وتبيان شعريته وخصائصه الأدبية، ما يغضي إلى تصنيف، وكشف ظواهر واتجاهات، ومن ثم كتابة تاريخ أدب مبني على أساس نقدي أي على أساس من المعرفة الصحيحة للنصوص الأدبية نفسها ، من هنا تأتي أهمية ما جاء به كتاب الدكتور "نبيل أيوب" "النقد النصي، نظريات ومقالات" والذي يسهم إسهاماً فعالاً في تلبية هذه الحاجة. وفي هذا العمل يعرض نبيل أيوب نظريات نقدية في حركة تطورها من الشكلية الروسية إلى الألسنية فالبنيوية فالسيميائية فالنقد الموضوعاتي. تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب من كون مؤلفه يفتح الباب واسعاً أمام الطلاب وكذلك النختصين بالنقد الحديث للولوج إلى عالم حركة نقدية طالما شكوا من تزمت الآخذين بها، وغلوهم في تطبيقها واختلاف مصطلاحتهم واتجاهاتهم. ولكن الدكتور أيوب يعمل جاهداً في عرض النظريات، وما يتبعها من تجميع وتبويب وتنسيق وانتقاء بوضوح حتى شكلت تلك النظريات والدراسات مضمون خطابه النقدي. وعلى هذا يتحدث كتابنا عن السيمائية فيعرفها ويتتبع تطورها ويميز اتجاهاتها بين وظيفية لدى بيرس، وعلم رموز لدى سوسير. وتضمينه لدى بارت، وتوسيعة لدى كريستيفا، ثم يميز بينها وبين كل من الألسنية والبنيوية) والأصناف التي صارت إليها دراساتها، ويحدد ماأضافه كل من بنفنست وغريماس، ويقدم مقاربات سيميائية معروفة، منها مقاربات "سونيته القطط" لبولدير، ويقارن بينها، ويخلص إلى مكان تعدد القراءات الدلالية للنص الواحد ضمن المنهج نفسه، ما يدفع إلى تصور تعدد إمكانات القراءة وتنوعها. محتويات الكتاب: يتوزع الكتاب على أربعة فصول ومباحث هي: الفصل الأول: الشكلية الروسية، الفصل الثاني: السرديات –سيميائية القص والخطاب السردي، الفصل الثالث: الخطاب الشعري –من اللسانية البنيوية إلى السيميائية، الفصل الرابع: في تحليل الخطابات: ويضم دراسات تطبيقية.
