يتحدث هذا الكتاب والذي جاء ضمن ثلاثة أجزاء، عن مظاهرالانحرافات العقدية عند الصوفية وأثرها السيء على الأمة الإسلامية. ولقد جمع الباحث مادته فيما يتعلق بالصوفية من كتبهم في الغالب وفي بعض الأحيان بالنقل عنهم بواسطة الكتب التي ألفت في التصوف. وقد جاء هذا البحث ضمن خمسة أبواب. تناول الباب الأول مفهوم التصوف ونشأته ومصادره وأقسامه وأهم العوامل التي أدت إلى الانحرافات العقدية عند الصوفية. وتناول الباب الثاني انحرافات الصوفية في الالهيات. وتحدث الباب الثالث عن انحرافاتهم في الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم والخضر عليه السلام والأولياء رحمهم الله. وتناول الباب الرابع انحرافاتهم في مفهوم الزهد والجهاد والقضاء والقدر والتوكل والجنة والنار. وأما الباب الخامس فقد تمحور حول غاية الباحث من وراء تأليفه هذا الكتاب حيث بين أهم الآثار السيئة التي نشرها الصوفية في الأمة الإسلامية.
