ناصر إبراهيم الحزيمي من مواليد 1957، مواليد (الزبير) ؛ منطقة تبعد عن البصرة في العراق 15 كيلو، سكانها يغلب عليهم – بمجملهم – جميعهم من أهل نجد ، نشأ هناك نشأة طبيعية وعادية كابن أكبر للعائلة، . تلقَّي تعليمه في متوسطة مصعب، وأخذ شهادة المتوسطة، في 1970 بدأ نوع من الصحوة الدينية في جميع أنحاء الخليج تقريبًا.. متدينين..، تأثر بأشرطة الشيخ عبد الحميد كشك ، وهو واعظ مفوَّه مصري، وتأثر بأطروحاته وبكلامه، بعدها استطاع أن يحصل على بعض كتب الشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني ، وتأثر بالفكر السلفي. مؤلف كتاب: أيام مع جهيمان.

"من كلام العامة في الزبير" معجم جمع فيه ناصر الحزيمي الألفاظ الزبيرية الشائعة في مدينة "الزبير" والتي سميت بهذا الإسم نسبة إلى الصحابي الزبير بن العوام رضي الله عنه.
وعبر صفحات الكتاب بوّب المؤلف المحتوى تبويباً حرفياً (ألفبائياً) في اثنتين وثلاثين ومائتي صفحة، شملت عدداً من الكلمات العامية المتداولة في الزبير سواء كان وصفاً لأماكن وأشكال معينة، أم كانت مسميات لبعض الحيوانات والجمادات وبعض الألعاب الشعبية والالقاب والكنى المتلازمة في عادات أهل المدينة وتقاليدهم، ومنها على سبيل المثال "أبو داود" هي كنية من اسمه سليمان والعكس، و"أبو شهاب" هي كنية من اسمه أحمد والعكس، أو في المأكولات والمشروبات "طاطلي: حلوى شعبية مشهورة كان ينادي بها بقول: "طاط... طوط... طاطلي".
والكلمات تنقسم في أصولها إلى عدة أقسام، منها ما قالته العرب وذكرت في المعاجم اللغوية، وبعضها خليط بين عدة لهجات عربية كالكويتية والعراقية، وبعضها الآخر من أصول تركية.
من أقوال "التراكيب والعبارات المشهورة" في الكتاب نقرأ: "أبو ويهين": يقولون فلان أبو ويهين أوله ويهين (أي وجهين) ويعنون بذلك أنه منافق لا يثبت على حال واحدة، "ضراب جيب": هذا ما يقولونه على من يمارس النشل"، "ما عنده سالفه": يقولون: (فلان ما عنده سالفه) أي لا يوجد في كلامه ما ينفع.
