ناصر إبراهيم الحزيمي من مواليد 1957، مواليد (الزبير) ؛ منطقة تبعد عن البصرة في العراق 15 كيلو، سكانها يغلب عليهم – بمجملهم – جميعهم من أهل نجد ، نشأ هناك نشأة طبيعية وعادية كابن أكبر للعائلة، . تلقَّي تعليمه في متوسطة مصعب، وأخذ شهادة المتوسطة، في 1970 بدأ نوع من الصحوة الدينية في جميع أنحاء الخليج تقريبًا.. متدينين..، تأثر بأشرطة الشيخ عبد الحميد كشك ، وهو واعظ مفوَّه مصري، وتأثر بأطروحاته وبكلامه، بعدها استطاع أن يحصل على بعض كتب الشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني ، وتأثر بالفكر السلفي. مؤلف كتاب: أيام مع جهيمان.

هذا جزء لطيف في حجمه جمعت فيه بعض ما مر بي من حوادث وأخبار إتلاف الكتب في التراث العربي قصرته على نوعين من الإتلاف.. النوع الأول: إتلاف السلطة للكتاب، وتتجلى السلطة هنا بجميع أنماطها وتحليلاتها سواء كانت هذه السلطة تتمثل بسلطة الحاكم أو المجتمع أو الفرد أو تتمثل بسلطة الأيديولوجيا أو العادات والتقاليد، وكان لها دور في إتلاف الكتاب ومطاردته ونفيه. النوع الثاني: الإتلاف الشخصي للكتب، ويتمثل بالإتلاف لأسباب علمية أو اعتقادية أو نفسية، وهو كثير في تراثنا العربي والإسلامي.
