تناولت هذه الأطروحة رموز السياب الشخصية والخاصة في ضوء ما أسماه الكاتب "البروج الرمزية"، ومؤدّاه أن الرموز الشخصية والخاصة الأساسية التي تبدو لنا في نتاج الاديب أو الشاعر متناثرة، لا رابط بينها ظاهرياً، إنما هي بروج من الرموز المترابطة في كيان فنيّ كلّي، أشبه ببروج السماء.
ذلك أن هذه الرموز ليست حُلَى بديعيّة يبتدعها الشاعر ليرصّع بها أعماله، وإنما هي تجسيد فني عفوي لرؤيا مركزية، ما فتلت تترد في أشكال) رموز (باحثة عن الشكل (الرمز) الأسمى أو المكتمل الذي تتجسد فيه؛ حتى وجدته، أي أن الرموز الشخصية والخاصة المكوّنة لـ"برج رمزي" هي أشكال مختلفة أو تجليات متنوعة متوالية لرؤيا مركزية واحدة.
والبرج الرمزي هو الرحلة الفنية لتلك الرؤيا في مجموعة من الرموز الشخصية والخاصة المتوالية وهي في طريقها نحو التجلّي النهائي المكتمل.
وإذ يؤمَّل للفرضية التي طرحتها هذه الدراسة أن تُثرى ببحوث لاحقة؛ يمكن القول بأن التأويل الذي قدمه الكاتب للرموز الشخصية والخاصة، يكشف بجلاء، آليّة النظام الذي أنتج معنى هذه الرموز، سواء سميناها أشكالاً للرغبة تنبثق من اللاشعور الفردي أو العقل الباطن (وفقاً لفرويد)، أم أنماطاً نموذجية Archetypes تنبثق من اللاشعور الجمعي (وفقاً ليونغ)، أم صوراً نمطيةً متكررةً تحاكي إيقاعات الطبيعة في تعاقب العديد من ظواهرها (وفقاً لفراي)، إنما هي "بروج" من الرموز المتوالية المترابطة، في تجليات متنوِّعة، تجسّد رؤيا مركزية وتعبّر عنها.
