للمنشد الكبير صبري المدلل باعٌ كبير في صياغة أجمل ألحان المدائح، حيث تفانى في رسم شفافية شخصيته بألحانه السهلة الغنية بالمادة الموسيقية واللحنية، فكانت انطباعاته النفسية الهادئة والوديعة والفرحة مطبوعة على تلك الألحان، فكان مدرسة خاصة ونكهة مميزة، وقد نهج نهجاً خالياً من التعقيد تارة مما ساهم في انتشار ألحانه سريعاً بين عامة الناس، وتارة أخرى، مليئاً بالقوة اللحنية مما يتيح لأي منشد أن يثبت جدارته من خلال أداء تواشيحه والتغريد بخاناتها لأنه أعطى مجالاً في كل خانة توشيح للارتجال والتغريد لأي عنصر من عناصر الفرقة الإنشادية.
وهذا الكتاب يوضح ذلك، وقد جمع فيه المؤلف ألحان هذا المنشد المفخرة الذي يشد الصغير قبل الكبير أناشيده وتواشيحه الدينية مثل: أحمد يا حبيبي، مسعد يا من زرت البيت، يا خير مولود بمكة... وقصائد أخرى يجدها القارئ طي هذا الكتيب الذي دوَّن معها اسم مؤلف الموشح والمديح ومقامه وإيقاعه.
