في هذا الشّفق الأبيض، أي؛ في الخطّ الفاضل ما بين الليل والنهار، كنت عازماً على خلق معنى ما، لا لشيء سوى لإستعادة روح اللعب، فأنا رجل بلا مبادئ صارمة، كل ما كان يشغلني هو اللعب، بما فيه ذلك اللعب العاري، الذي يتَّكئ على هاجس السؤال الذي يقود إلى خلق معانٍ رفيعة، تمنح حاملها بعض أسباب إستمراره على قيد الحياة، وإذا لم يكن كذلك، فبعض أسباب الموت السعيد، ما دامت الحياة الخالية من المعاني، ستأخذه إلى حيث يأتيه الموت، والموت كما يمكن أن يتراءى لي، هو إنتقال إلى اللعب مع الديدان، تلك الكائنات المختبئة فينا، والتي تحيا بموتنا، والتي يمكن أن تُكنّى بــ "الوقت"، أو على الأقل تلك هي التسمية التي أقترحها له، فالوقت هو: "الدودة".
كنت عازماً على أن أعيد الإتصال برقم هاتفيّ لامرأة اتّصلت بي، ليس من وقت بعيد، مع أنني كنت عاجزاً عن تعيينه بدقّة، كانت امرأة ضجرة، هكذا كنت أظنّها... كانت ترغب في اللعب، هكذا كنت أظنّها أيضاً، وكنت أظنّ أنها لم تكن تعرفني، وكنت ألعب مع أرقام هاتفيّة لأتّصل بالكثير من الناس، بمن أعرفهم وبمن لا أعرفهم، كما كنت متشكّكاً في أن أتلقّى أيّ إجابة من أيّ طرف آخر، ذلك، لأنّ أرقام الهواتف تغيّرت بعد سنين طويلة من هجري الناس الذين أعرفهم، أو ممّن هاجروا ما بعد الحرب الفتّاكة، وقد اجتاحت البلاد.
- نعم، كنت عازماً على مقايضة الكلام بالوقت، لا، لا تفهموني خطأً، فليس من العار في شيء، أن تُقايض كلاماً مزدهراً بوقت موحش، وكأنما هو درس في التاريخ.
