شاعت في العصر الحديث مجموعة من المناهج الأدبية التي تقوم على تحليل النص الأدبي وإستخراج مميزاته وإبراز جماله وإبداعه، فتعددت طرائق التحليل بتعدد أساليبه وإختلاف أدواته، فمنها ما ينظر إلى بنية النص، وأخرى تنظر إلى موضوعاته، وثالثة إلى تأويله وهكذا، حتى غدت هذه المناهج مراد كل دارس ومطلب كل ناقد، إلاَّ أن توجهات من تصدَّى لهذا الخط من التأليف والدراسة تفاوتت، فمنهم من بالغ في تحليل النَّصِّ مبالغة أخرجت النَّص من محتواه، وأرهقت عبارته وأبعدت مراده عن المقصود، ومنهم من عالج النص، بسطحية، آخذاً منه القشور وتاركاً اللب، وبين هذا وذاك نجد محاولات أعطت النص قيمته واللغة مكانها من التحليل.
لم تقتصر أهمية هذا النوع من الدراسة على ما سبق ذكره، وإنما تتجاوز حدود النَّص لتتناول صاحبه، وبهذا تجتمع ثلاثة عناصر مهمة فيه، وهي: (المبدع، والنص الإبداعي، والمتلقي)، فتكوِّن هذه العناصر مثلث تحليل الخطاب، التي لا يستغني أحدها عن الآخر، فترتبط إرتباطاً وثيقاً يأخذ أحدها بعناق الآخر.
من هذا المنطلق جاءت محاولتنا هذه، لدراسة ثلاثة نصوص أدبية مختلفة في زمنها وبنائها، ومتفقة في إنتمائها إلى الأدب العماني.
