يتضمن هذا الكتاب دراسة في تنبهات الإمام الجزري في كتابه (النشر) و(غاية النهاية) واللذان يبحث من خلالهما المؤلف الدكتور "أحمد بن حمود بن حميد والدراية، ولأهمية هذه التنبهات وكثرتها، وضعها المؤلف في هذه الرسالة العلمية التي تبين بها المراد بتلك الوهام وأنواعها واسباب الوقوع فيها، وما هو الصواب فيها، ومن ثم ترتيبها وتصنيفها على ابواب وفصول. في الباب الأول: تنبيه الإمام ابن الجزري على الأوهام المتعلقة بالرواة وفيه فصلان: الأول: الأوهام في أسماء الرواة وأنسابهم ووفياتهم، والثاني: في الأوهام في أسانيد الرواة. وأما الباب الثَاني: تنبيه الإمام ابن الجزري على الأوهام المتعلقة بالرواية، وفيه فصلان: الأول: تنبيهه على الأوهام الواردة في الصول، والثاني: تنبيهه على الأوهام في فرش الحروف.
