يدرس هذا الكتاب النظام القانوني للإحتراف المدني، وذلك بالتركيز على بيان أثر المهن والحرف على المركز القانوني لمن يقوم بمباشرتها، وكذلك بيان أثر الصفة الإحترافية في العقود والمسؤولية.
تكمن أهمية هذا الموضوع في محاكاة الدور الحيوي الذي يلعبه الحرفيون والمهنيون في الحياة العامة، إذ أضحوا حلقة وصل لازمة في العلاقات القائمة بين سلسلة المتعاملين في السلع والخدمات، حتى تصل إلى الإستهلاك.
ولأن غالبية التشريعات لم تهتم كثيرا بفئة الحرفيين ولم تصدر قوانين تحدد معنى الحرفي وتبين مركزه القانوني والأهم من ذلك كيفية حمايته، وبالتالي بقيت فئة الحرفيين بعيدا عن الإهتمام التشريعي. جاءت هذه الدراسة لتهتم بإحدى هذين العنصرين (المهني والحرفي) وبيان نظامه القانوني وذلك لأن ممارسة المهن والحرف على وجه الإعتياد بقصد تحقيق عائد مالي للعيش والإرتزاق يؤدي إلى إنشاء نظام الإحتراف المدني.
وللإحاطة أكثر بهذه الإشكالية القانونية وإيجاد أجوبة مناسبة لجميع التساؤلات ودرس إتجاهات الفقه والقضاء واللوائح ذات الصلة بموضوع البحث اقتضت الضرورة المنهجية تقسيم الكتاب إلى ثلاثة فصول هي:
1- الفصل الأول: التعريف بالإحتراف المدني.
2- الفصل الثاني: أثر الصفة الإحترافية في التعاقد.
3- الفصل الثالث: أثر الصفة الإحترافية في المسؤولية المدنية.
الخاتمة: وتتضمن الإستنتاجات والتوصيات.
