هذا الكتاب يهتم بنشر مجموعة مختارة من آثار عبد البهاء (عبّاس أفندي) ناشر الديانة البهائية، واعتمد الكتاب إختيار مجموعة من كتب عبد البهاء، للنشر في هذا الجزء على أمل نشر بقية آثاره في جزء لاحق، لما لآثار عبد البهاء من أهمية تتصل بالسياق الديني والتاريخي للحركة البهائية، وعبد البهاء وارث الديانة وناشرها، وهو حسب التعبير البهائي مركز العهد والميثاق الذي تبنى نشر أفكار بهاء الله، وعقائد الباب الشيرازي وغدا المبيّن الرسمي لتعاليم بهاء الله والشارح لديانته، ومن دون جهوده لم يكن سهلاً نشر وترويج العقائد البهائية، فقام بشرح التعاليم، وفصَّل بالمعتقدات، ورسم المعالم الرئيسة للمؤسسات الإدارية، وكان حقيقة الزعيم الروحي الذي شيَّد أركان الديانة البهائية.
