في توليفة شعرية آسرة، يأخذنا الشاعر "أحمد مهجع" إلى مملكة الشمس في نصوص شعرية أربعة سمّاتها "أنا والشمس" حمل كل نصِ كوكباً من كواكبه، فجاء الفصل الأول لعنوان كوكب أنا، أما الثاني: كوكب هي، والثالث: كوكب هو، وأما الرابع: كوكب الحياة. وتأتي الخاتمة بعنوان: عندما تنطق الشمس. وفي جميع هذه النصوص يضعنا الشاعر أمام آليات صياغية مبتكرة، احتوت مضموناً فلسفياً – تأملياً، ونحن نسير معه خطوة خطوة، نقرأ أفكاره المشحونة بفيض دلالي يكسر معه أفق انتظار المتلقي، فيجيء الشعر عندها وحياً وإلهاماً، متعدد الأغراض والأنواع، فشمسه عندما تنطق تقول: "أنا الأم والزوجة والبنت والأخت والصديقة .. أهيم بين مشارق الأرض ومغاربها .. وأنتقي منها ما يحقق لي الحياة الحرة الآمنة والمحافظة .. أنا شمس الحياة والدفء .. والغروب والشروق .. بل أنوثة الطاقة الحوائية للآدميين .. ولمن تعبت قوافله وهي تسير لترمي أحمالها بين يدي .. شمس (...) كثيرة بقع شمسي .. ولكن من يراها .. أجزم .. بأن من قرأ هذه الخاتمة .. شاهد شطحها الحقيقي".
