يقول الدكتور حسن النعيمي عن هذا الكتاب "هذه خواطر متأملة وأفكار فلسفية تمتاز بعمق العبارة ومجال الأسلوب وتماسك البنية وما من شك أن وراءها فكر إنساني ناضج. أتمنى أن تنتقل هذه الكتابات الى ما هو أكثر تأثيراً وأقصد الكتابة السردية قصة قصيرة أو رواية أو مسرحية فهي كتابة تحمل فكراً ورشاقة عبارة يجب أن تستوعب فنوناً أخرى".
في قصيدة بعنوان (ونهاية الصوت "صدى) يقول الشاعر أحمد مهجع: أيام نزفت الذكرى، وكلمات تلقى على أوجه اللوم أسئلة، علَّ وشاة النقد أن يفيقوا، عندما يرونني قد تركت صمتي يئن، وهو يجرجر أشلاء الأذواق الآسنة، ويستنسج النور من الرماد الآفل (...)، وأنا هنا في عاصمة كفلت أحلامي، فككت قيود محبرتي للخربشة، ولتعزيز هدوء بحر عميق، أبحر (...)".
يضم الديوان (44) نصاً شعرياً نذكر من العناوين: "بداية الحياة صوت"، "أنت "الحياة"، "قوة الضعف"، "غلاف الأمل"، "صراط العيون"، "اختيار"، "تبقى الأنثى امرأة"، "قسوة النضج".. الخ.
