في كتابه هذا يتناول الأستاذ هادي قبيسي قضية جديدة في تطبيقات نظرية المعرفة تعتمد تجربة الإمام الخميني المرجعية، وذلك على المستويين الفكري والعملي بقصد الوصول إلى محددات ورؤيا عامة للعلاقات المعرفية.
تتمحور إشكالية الكاتب حول علاقة المعرفتين الزمنية والحضورية في تأسيساتها الفلسفية والفكرية وتطبيقاتها المنهجية والعملية. هل هي علاقة تناقض أم انسجام وتكامل؟ .. وكيف حدد الإمام الخميني موقع كل من المعرفتين – الزمنية والحضورية – بالنسبة إلى بعضها البعض؟ وكيف نفهم نحن فلسفة هذا التموضع؟
وللإجابة على تلك الإشكالية يدرس الكاتب خطاب الإمام الخميني وتجربته العملية في محاولة لتقديم فهمٍ يربط بين خيوطهما، ليخرج بمقاربة لهذه الشخصية فكراً وتجربةً، وفي زاوية محددة وهي اجتماع شكلي المعرفة لديها: الروحي والزمني وتأثير كلّ منهما على الآخر وعلى التجربة الفردية للإمام.
أما عن سبب اختياره للإمام الخميني كنموذج لتظهير قضية العلاقة بين المعرفة الزمنية والروحية، فيبرر ذلك بقوله "كونه مرجعية فقهية وأخلاقية وعملية وعاش تجربة نقية وزاهدة، وتجربة زمنية موثقة بشكل كبير جداً، غنية على المستوى الزمني، ونتجت عنها إنجازات تاريخية ..." .
ولمزيد من الإيضاح يقسم الكاتب عمله على قسمين رئيسيين: الأول وصفيّ، يستعرض التجربة المعرفية الزمنية عند الإمام، ويحلل منهجها، إلى جانب استعراضه في رؤيا عامة لمنهج السير التكاملي الروحي الهادف إلى تحقيق المعرفة الحضورية الحقيقية في فكر الإمام. أما القسم الثاني، فيدخل في معالجة إشكالية العلاقة بين المعرفتين، عبر مقدمة تأسيسية لبنية الجدلية، على المستويين الفلسفي والمنهجي، وفي مقاربة تفصيلية تبيّن العلاقات الداخلية للجدلية.
