يسعدنا أن نقدم لقرائنا هذه المرة مادة هذا الكتاب شيقة طريفة تتناول أبحاثاً مختلفات، وهي فتاوى الحافظ أحمد بن الصديق الغماري التي كان يبعثها إلي أيام منفاه من طرف الاستعمار الدولي بطنجة. ثم زمان هجرته الأخيرة للقاهرة حيث وافاه أجله، وكانت هذه الرسائل في فترات ما بين 1374-1380هـ. على أن للشيخ رسائل كثيرة مفرقة عند تلامذته وأصحابه ومعارفه ومكاتبيه في سائر الأقطار، بحيث لو جمعت لجاءت في عدة مجلدات.
وهي رسائل علمية قيمة. فيها فوائد عزيزة، وفي قراءة عابرة لها سيجد القارئ فيها أبحاثاً كثيرة متنوعة: في الأصول، والحديث، والفقه، والعقائد، والآداب، والأخلاق، والاجتماع، والفلك، والتاريخ، وتراجم الأعلام، والجرح والتعديل، والرؤيا والتعبير، في أشياء أخرى... وقد أضفت إليها بضعة رسائل لبعض تلامذة الشيخ كان بعثها إليه أيام اعتقاله. وذلك لما لها من الأهمية.
وبما أن الشيخ كان يكتب تلك الرسائل ارتجالاً حسبما يسمح به الوقت، بدون بحث ولا مراجعة، وردت في رسائله أكثر من مائة وسبعين حديثاً غير معزوة ولا مبينة مراتبها، فتوليت تخريجها وبيان صحيحها من سقيمها ليتم النفع.
