"سام الفاصولية" قصة خيالية، تسرح بالطفل في عالم الأحلام الممتع والواسع فتروي له وبأسلوب طريف وممتع أحداث استمدت من الخيال شخصياتها وأحداثها فالغول مثلاً شخصية لها دور كبير من هذه القصة وهي تجسد شخصية الإنسان الشرير القاتل الذي يسلب مال الناس ويقتلهم وهو يسكن بعيداً عنهم في قصره العالي حتى لا يصل أحد إليه، أما الولد سام فيجسد في هذه القصة شخصية الإنسان المغامر الذي يحب الحياة ويعرف كيف يستغلها لتحقيق الثروة، أما الجنية فهي شخصية مسالمة جاءت من عالم الخيال لتساعد سام على تحقيق الثروة واستعادة مال أبيه الذي سرقه الغول.
