اتخذت الدراساتُ اللغويةُ الحديثة منحىً جديداً بعد ما أطلّت أبحاثها على نافذة العلوم التطبيقية والطبيعية، ووظّفت النتائج التي توصّلت إليها تلك العلوم، ولم يكن الدرسُ الصوتيُ الحديث بمنأى عن هذا التلاقح، حيث قطع شوطاً بعيداً بعد ما ارتاد عوالم هذه العلوم، واسترفد منها، وانتهل من معينها، وتحرّى القوانين التي تعبّر عن حقيقة التفاعل بين خصّيصة الصوت، والآراء التي أنارت آفاق الدّرس الصوتي، فاسْتُقِيَتُ منها المفاهيم والمصطلحات، وشاعت في البحوث التي تناولت الصوت وسماته الرئيسة، والثانوية.
وبرزت نظريات صوتية أثرَت الأبحاث وأغنتْ مضامينها، وأبرزها نظرية السمات الصوتية المميّزة (Distinctive Features Theory)، والثنائيات التقابلية (Binary Oppositions).
وكان لمدارس براغ، وأكسفورد، والمدرسة الإنجليزية الأثر الجلي في تعميق مسير الدّرس الصوتي، إلى جانب الإحاطة بالعلوم الفلسفية، والنفسية، وعلم الإجتماع، وتفاعل الدّرس الصوتي مع هذه العلوم، فحاز بذلك مكانة سامية حمل الباحثين على إرتياد عوالمه، والتنقير في أسراره، والولوج إلى خباياه.
وقد تفتّح ذهني على هذا العلم، واستبانت لي آفاقه على بصيرة، في أثناء المحاضرات التي ألقاها أستاذي المشرف على مسامع طلبة الدراسات العليا، ومن ثمّ البحوث التي نشرها، والرسائل والأطاريح التي أشرف عليها، فوقفتُ عند روضٍ من الجديد موثِق، يصبو إليه القلب والأسماع، فالجديد يُغري المرء على التواصل، ويخرجهُ من السأم، والتمادي على حال واحدة، الأمر الذي حفّزني على الكتابة في هذا الميدان.
وبعد مداولات مستفيضة رست الفكرة على اختيار (التراكيب)، مرتكزاً لتطبيق آفاق الصوتيات، فكانت التراكيب الشرطيّة في القرآن الكريم والدّالة على الثنائيات التقابلية هي مضمون الفكرة.
ويُعزى ذلك إلى سببين رئيسين، أولهما: أنّ التراكيب الشرطيذة تنعاز بخصوصيّة منطقية، والدّليل أنّ علم الرياضيات، والمنطق يتّخذانها سبيلاً للوصول إلى الحقائق، وثانيهما: أنّ الثنائية تسير على جديلة نظرية الثنائية عند مدرسة براغ، وتجلية ذلك متأنيّةً من إخضاع البحث إلى المنطلق الصوتي الحديث.
