موسوعة عكاظيات التي تضم ستة مجلدات جاءت منوعة في محتوياتها إذ أنها لم تقتصر، وكما يوحي عنوانها، على موضوع الشعر والشعراء بل هي احتوت على معلومات منوعة وشاملة. وأم مواضيع كل مجلد فقد كانت على النحو التالي:
المجلد الأول من هو القائل؟ هذا المجلد يتناول المؤلف فيه محاسن صفات الشاعر ومساوئها واجتهد أن يورد فيه أجمل الأشعار وأفضلها فائدة وحكمة. وفي المجلد الثاني أيضاً أورد أجمل الأشعار وأفضلها فائدة وحكمة، ومن ثم أورد فصلاً كاملاً عن أيام العرب رتبها حسب حروف المعجم، ذاكراً حوادثها وبين من كانت. وفي المجلد الثالث جمع المؤلف نفحات الشعر الهادفة التي ضمّنها محاسن الصفات في الشعر العربي. وجمع المؤلف الرابع نوادر الأشعار بوبها في مواضيعها ومواضِعُها من محاسن الصفات وذيل الكتاب بمعلومات عامة هامة، يجد فيها القارئ المعرفة، والتاريخ والفنون والعلم والحكمة. وفي المجلد الخامس جمع رقائق الأشعار، لشعراء أبرار، وذيّله بأسماء من حاز على جوائز (ألفرد نوبل) في الآداب والطب والسلام والكيمياء.
أما المجلد السادس والأخير فقد تضمن شعر الشاعرات اللواتي كان لهن من الشعر أفصحه وأعذبه. وذيل الكتاب بقصص هادفة عن ذكاء النساء وحرصهن وعلمهن، ورتب هذا الباب حسب الحروف الهجائية لعناوين القصص. فجاءت هذه الموسوعة متكاملة بمحتواها مواضيعها التي هدف المؤلف من خلالها استقراء عيون الشعر.
