هذا الكتاب ليس جديداً في مادته وموضوعاته، وذلك لأنّ قواعد اللغة العربية لا تتغير أو تتبدل فهذه اللغة وصلت حداً كبيراً من الإتقان والضبط والتطور قبل التدوين والتقعيد وبها نزل القرآن الكريم؛ وهي تامة البيان متعددة القواعد من خلال لغة العرب ومن خلال الشعر والخطابة العربية وبقية فنون القول ثم من خلال النص القرآني المعجز بياناً وبناءً وأحكاماً واخباراً إلى غير ذلك.
فكان كل ذلك تطبيقاً عملياً لقواعد نحوية أو صرفية لم تُستقرئ أو تُبوّب وتستنبطُ لها القواعدُ في البناء والإعراب وفي الدلالات والألفاظ والمعاني وفي التعريب، ووضع العلماء ذلك خوفاً على اللغة العربية من اللحن والضياع، وتعليماً للمسلمين هذه اللغة التي هي لغة كتابهم الكريم القرآن.
إذن فقصارى ما فعله علماء اللغة والنحو أنهم استقرأوا وجمعوا واستنبطوا ووضعوا قواعد لأشياء جرت على الألسنة وشاعت في الإستعمال.
لذلك نقول أن لا جديد يمكن أن يزاد في قواعد اللغة، وإذا عرفنا أن القرآن الكريم حفظ كل ذلك من الضياع وحفظ النص، وحفظ اللغة الفصيحة من طغيان العامية، أدركنا دور علماء اللغة والنحو جيداً.
لذا، فإن الجديد هو أن نقدم اللغة بثوب الزمن الذي نعيش فيه من خلال المثال وأسلوب عرض المادة النحوية والصرفية.
وقد صممت مادة الكتاب لتعين طلبة الجامعات والكليات والمدارس والمثقف العادي، والذي يريد أن يتعلم قواعد اللغة العربية.
