وقد تركزت أهداف الكتاب التدريبي الحالي فيما يأتي: 1-تدريب الطالب على ترجمة نصوص متنوعة: دينية وعلمية وأدبية وصحفية، وسياسية وإقتصادية وقانونية وغيرها، من اللغة الإنجليزية إلى اللغة العربية وبالعكس، 2-تدريب الطالب على كيفية التغلب على الصعوبات اللغوية والثقافية أثناء الترجمة، ثم... 3-تدريب الطالب على إيجاد إستراتيجيات وحلول لغوية وثقافية مناسبة تتناسب وطبيعة النص وأسلوبه.
