لقد حاول المحقّق في هذه الدّراسة عرض أقوال أرسطو في المنطق والطّبيعيّات والإلهيّات والأخلاق والسّياسة بالرّجوع إلى مؤلّفاته الكبرى، إن في أصلها اليوناني أو في ترجماتها وشروحها الحديثة، دون التّطرّق إلى النّقد أو إلى التّفاعلات التّاريخيّة، إلاّ في ما ندر. والجانب الوحيد الّذي تجاوزه المحقّق هو " الفلسفة الجماليّة" الّتي ينطوي عليها كتابا الشّعر والخطابة. كما أضيف إلى هذه الطّبعة الجديدة فصلا عرض فيه المحقّق تطوّر فلسفة أرسطو في القرون اللاحقة( بين322ق,م.و529ب.م.) دعي "المشّائيّة القديمة". وختم الكتاب بمختارات منتزعة من أهمّ مؤلّفات أرسطو المنطقيّة والخلقيّة والنّفسيّة والإلهيّة، ترجمت عن أصلها اليوناني، وألحق بها في آخر الكتاب ثبتا بأهمّ المصطلحات اليونانيّة ومرادفاتها العربيّة.
