كتاب أرسطو هو محاولتى الثانية فى ميدان الفلسفة اليونانية القديمة. ولقد بحثت فى هذا الكتاب فى كافة نظريات أرسطو فى مجالات الطبيعة والميتافيزيقا والمنطق والنفس والأخلاق والسياسة وفن الخطابة وفن الشعر. وخصصت فصلا لدراسة كل مجال منها على حدة معتمداً بصفة أساسية على كتابات أرسطو فى لغتها اليونانية الأصلية. ورغية منى فى أن يكون الكتاب مرجعاً للباحثين والمهتمين بالمجال انتهزت كل فرصة لإقتباس النص الأصلى عسى أن ينفعنا الباحثون المتعاملون مع النص اليونانى بتفسيرات جديدة ومقالانات متنوعة على المدى القريب والبعيد على السواء.
ولعل أهم ما أردت أن ألفت انتباه القارئ اليه هو أن عبقرية أرسطو لم تقتصر فقط على غزارة إنتاجه أو أصالة نظرياته الفلسفية أو قوة مصطلحاته الفلسفية الخاصة بل تجاوزت كل ذلك الى تقديم نسق فلسفى متكامل يندر أن يلاحظ فيه الدراس أى تناقض من الناحية الفلسفية على الأقل.
جدير بالذكر أننى فى الفصل الأخير من الكتاب رأيت أن من الضرورى أن أتابع سير المشائية بعد أرسطو فى مراحلها الأولى، واعتمدت فى ذلك على الترتيب الزمنى لتلاميذ ارسطو الذين حملوا لواء المشائية من بعده وحافظوا على تعاليم أرسطو وإرشاداته واهتموا معظمهم مثل أستاذهم بالعلوم.
