يمضي بلادة.... بين الفينة والأخرى... تنقله أقدامه كخف جمل في مضمار طويل، ما بين الشرفة والمكتبة. يقف ويحرق أساطير البحار.. يستحضر هموم الترحال. يشعر بسريان الثلج كلما هم بدخول ميناء مفتوحة... يقلقه نطاح السحاب... ثم يكتنز يحاول أن يدفع هامته للبيارق المنكسة حداداً ليوم راحل.
قلت له: الموت حق (كل من عليها فان)، في ذلك الزمن بدأ ضوء القمر يغسل البحر وبدأت روائح الماء تسابق الأرواح في تقصيها للأنس والطير... نعم ثمة أشياء تختفي من حولي.
