من أجل هذا وضع الدكتور "محمد علي علي ضناوي" قصص كتاباته الإسلامية هذه التي يهدف منها تزويد النشء الصاعد بهذا النوع من القصص الهادفة... وكذلك تعريفه ببعض القصص التي كان النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم يرويها في مجلسه على المسلمين.
وفي هذا الكتاب قصة "الغلام والملك" المروية عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والمثبتة في صحيح مسلم، والترمذي، وأحمد؛ دوّنها المؤلف بأسلوب روائي جديد يمتع القارئ الناشئ ويثقفه دينياً ولكن على الرغم مما أضافه المؤلف إلى هذه القصة والتي عنونها بـ"نار وإيمان" فإنه لم يخرج عن نطاق القصة والهدف منها وإنما كل ما حاول فعله هو ربط حلقاتها ومشاهدها بشكل يأتلف، إلى حدٍّ ما، مع الفن القصصي الحديث، محاولاً أيضاً الحفاظ على السياق النبوي إلى حدّ بعيد.
