وهذا الطريق الأخير هو الذي فضلنا أن نسلكه، فلم نرد أن نخوض في تفصيلات الظروف المحيطة بنشأة الفكرة، واقتصرنا على عرض الأفكار عرضاً تحقيقياً؛ وإنطلاقاً من هذا الفهم الخاص، تناولنا مسار الفلسفة الحديثة، بادئين ببيان خصائصها، ثم المراحل التي سرت بها وهي عصر النهضة وحركة الإصلاح الديني ونشأة العلم الحديث، ثم عرضنا للتيارات المختلفة للفلسفة الحديثة، التيار العقلاني، والتيار التجريبي، والتيار المثالي، وفلسفة الحياة.
وبذلك يغطي الكتاب مساحة واسعة من تاريخ الفلسفة الحديثة، ومن هنا كان كتاباً لا غنى عنه لكل باحث...
