ولد عام 1946 في الخيام.
حاصل على إجازة في الفلسفة من الجامعة العربية ببيروت 1973, وعلى شهادة الكفاءة في الأدب العربي من كلية التربية - الجامعة اللبنانية, وعلى دبلوم الدراسات المعمقة في الأدب العربي 1975, وعلى شهادة السوربون الثالثة 1977.
اشتغل بالصحافة في الصحف والمجلات الآتية: السفير, النهار العربي والدولي, الموقف العربي, المستقبل, كما قدم بعض الأعمال الإذاعية.
دواوينه الشعرية: رسائل الوحشة 1979-بعد ظهر نبيذ أحمر ...بعد ظهر خطأ كبير (شعر - قصص) 1981 -جموع تكسير 1984 - حبيبتي الدولة (تغريبة) 1986- تانغو (87) 1987ـ حبيبتي الدولة 1990 - بعد قليل من الحب, بعد الحب بقليل 1992 - قمر الثلج على النارنج 1998.
Book Description
النص الشعري عند محمد العبد الله جموح، ومراودته تتم عبر مداخل متعددة، ولكي نجرب هذه المداخل، وإظهار عطاءاتها للنص الشعري، لا بد من قراءته في ضوء حركته وعلاقة صاحبه بالمرئيات الواقعية، التي عاشها، وعملية طرحه لها بشكل فني ممتزج، بالفلسفة الفكرية الخاصة به وبتجربته وأدواته الثقافية واللغوية، وكيفية توظيفها في ذات النص، الذي يقود قارئه للإحتمال والحوار، ومن ثم توقع ما يريد قوله مع كل قصيدة جديدة.
في القصيدة المعنونة "تانغو 1987" يستدعي الشاعر أسرته، وخاصة ابنته وينقل إلينا سعادته بوجوده ضمنها، ومن هنا يكتسب النص عند العبد الله روحه وجماليته، وقوته، وشاعريته يقول الشاعر: "للتي في يديها الشموع الأخيرة... اللتي ظلّها فوق جدران روحي... يضيء الظلالْ... للآسرتي في مهبّ الرياح الكبيرة... لــِ "ديمة" تكبرُ في البيت في المدرسة... وتُدخلني من جديدٍ دروس الحساب... للّتي أركض في بيت ألعابها مثل طفل سعيد... أبسطُ الآن سجاد روحي... على مدخل السنة القادمة لتعبرَ، أو تستريح قليلاً... أو لتدعوَ أصحابها... ليلعبنَ، ليضحكن فيغمرني مطرٌ قادم من بعيد...".
يضم الكتاب قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "يارين"، "خيانات صغيرة"، "ساعة الجنرال"، "زفاف"، "فتات"، "أعراض"، "بانوراما"، "تغريم"، و "تانغو 1987".
