ولد عام 1946 في الخيام.
حاصل على إجازة في الفلسفة من الجامعة العربية ببيروت 1973, وعلى شهادة الكفاءة في الأدب العربي من كلية التربية - الجامعة اللبنانية, وعلى دبلوم الدراسات المعمقة في الأدب العربي 1975, وعلى شهادة السوربون الثالثة 1977.
اشتغل بالصحافة في الصحف والمجلات الآتية: السفير, النهار العربي والدولي, الموقف العربي, المستقبل, كما قدم بعض الأعمال الإذاعية.
دواوينه الشعرية: رسائل الوحشة 1979-بعد ظهر نبيذ أحمر ...بعد ظهر خطأ كبير (شعر - قصص) 1981 -جموع تكسير 1984 - حبيبتي الدولة (تغريبة) 1986- تانغو (87) 1987ـ حبيبتي الدولة 1990 - بعد قليل من الحب, بعد الحب بقليل 1992 - قمر الثلج على النارنج 1998.
Book Description
الجنوب اللبناني ينزف بصمت على يد محتلّ غاصب لأرض غير أرضه وجد فيها أطماعه فأحبّ امتلاكها بالغصب والقوة ورفض الخروج منها إلا بالدم والقوة. سلاح ضد سلاح، رفات مقابل آلاف الأسرى وجراح ينزف، حركات التحرير هي المقابل للانكفاء.
صور ومشاهدات امتزجت في نصوص من خيال الكاتب فهو لا يتعمد رصد لعبة الصراع بين الاحتلال والمقاومة بل هي محاولة رصدٍ لمزاج جنوبي هو خلاصة مزيج تمازج بين مزاج ديني (إسلامي-مسيحي) ضارب من عمق التاريخ ومزاج عربي مقيم على فصاحة راسخة توشمها عامية شاعرية ومزاج لبناني صريح لا تهزه تشنجات العصبيات اللبنانية. هذه النصوص الجنوبي منها لا تتردد من الإفصاح عن مكنونات كاتب عربي اعتبر أن الاحتلال نوع من الغلط ومناف للعقل والإحساس.
لقد جاء عنوان هذه النصوص (لحم السعادة) معبراً عما يجول من خاطر الكاتب من أفكار ومعبراً عن واقع حياة الجنوبي الذي يفتدي أرضه بدمه ليصل إلى السعادة الحقيقية التي يطمح إليها كل مواطن انتهك عرضه باحتلال أرضه.
