نشهد اليوم في الأوساط العلميّة والأكاديميّة تداولاً واسعاً وحضوراً فاعلاً لمسائل نظريّة المعرفة وقضاياها، لأسباب ودوافع مختلفةٍ، ولمّا كانت تلك المسائل والقضايا تشكّل الأساس المعرفي لجميع العلوم، فقد وقع تحت تأثيرها غير واحدٍ من المقولات والمعتقدات كالمعارف الدينيّة والأخلاقيّة.
ومن هنا، كان التوافر على مبنّى علمي معقولٍ فيها ضماناً لسلامة المنظومة الفكريّة والدينيّة والأخلاقيّة للبشر كافةً.
إلاّ أنّ ما يؤسف له أشدّ الأسف أن أوساطنا العلميّة والجامعيّة - لمكان تطوّر حركة الترجمة في نظريّة المعرفة الغربيّة - باتت أكثر معرفةً بها من نظريّة المعرفة الإسلاميّة، كما يُلاحظ ذلك بوضوحٍ بين طلبة الفلسفة وسائر الإختصاصات العلميّة ذات الصلة.
ولعل السبب في نشوء هذه الإشكاليّة يرجع إلى قلّة المصادر الإسلاميّة في هذا المجال، كما هو واضحٌ.
بين يدي القارئ محاولةً غرضها الإستجابة لحاجة الأوساط المعرفيّة إلى تبيين أصول هذه النظريّة بالإستناد إلى المباني العقليّة والبرهانيّة القويمة وبالإستمداد من أفكار الفلاسفة المسلمين وآرائهم، مع عرض أهم مباحثها على مستوى الدراسات الأوليّة عرضاً منطقيّاً.
