المائة التي ضمّها هذا الكتاب هي المائة الثالثة من المجالس المؤيدية لداعي الدعاة المؤيد في الدين هبة الله الشيرازي المتوفى سنة 470هـ، والتي ألقاها في مجالس الحكمة التأويلية في القاهرة. والمائة الثالثة هذه تختلف من حيث المنهج والأسلوب عن سابقتيها. فالمواضيع التي عالجها الإمام الشيرازي في هذه المائة يتعلق بالأمور التأويلية الباطنية السرية التي لا يجوز أن يكشف عنها إلاّ لمن ترقى في مراتب الدعوة وبلغ حدّ المكاشفة، لذا عمد داعي الدعاة الشيرازي إلى تأويل بعض آي الذكر الحكيم، وقابلها مع العقائد الإسماعيلية العرفانية، وقام بمناقشة بعض المفسرين الذين ذهبوا في تفسيراتهم لهذه الآيات مذاهب شتى والتي لم تنطبق مع الحقائق العقلانية التي ذهب هو إليها.
