لم تحظ المرأة الفلسطينية بالعناية الكافية، والحفاوة الكاملة من قبل العديد من الكتّاب، بل نكاد نزعم بأن أحداً لم يفرد كتاباً خاصاً يجمع بين دفتيه مشاهير وأعلام النساء الفلسطينيات، ويرصد إنجازاتهن، ويسطّر إبداعاتهن.
يأملُ الباحثان من خلال هذه الدراسة التفصيلية أن يكونا قد أوفيا المرأة الفلسطينية حقّها، وأن يكونا قد ألمّا بالموضوع من جميع جوانبه بشكل موضوعي، وأعطيا فكرة واضحة عن جهود النساء الفلسطينيات في كافة مجالات الحياة، وبشكل خاص في مقاومة الإحتلال الصهيوني، وخاصة أن هذا الجهد قد أهمله غالبية الكتّاب، ولم يتعرّض له جُل الباحثين، إلا من بعض مقالات متناثرة هنا وهناك، أو أبحاثاً صغيرة، أو دراسات بسيطة تضمّنها في بعض الكتب والمجلات، أو كتابات تستعرض جانباً معيناً وتغفل الجوانب الأخرى.
ونأمل أن تكون هذه الدراسة بداية لدراسات لاحقة عن مراحل أخرى من تاريخ وإنجازات المرأة الفلسطينية التي لا تنتهي إلا بإنتهاء الحياة.
