(عبد الرَّحيم العبّاسيّ) أحد أعلام الثّقافة العربيّة في القرن العاشر الهجريّ الذين يُشار إليهم بالبّنان، بما له من نَتاج علميّ لمَّا يجد معظمه النَّشر بعد؛ لذا كانت هذه المحاولة التي تُزيح ما ران على سيرة حياته من غُموض، وتضع ثَبتاً توثيقيّاً لمؤلفاته المخطوطة والمطبوعة مع تَحديد أماكنِها في بعض مكتبات العالم، وتتناول المحاولة - إضافة إلى هذا - بالدِّراسة الموضوعيّة والفنّية أثراً نفيساً من آثاره المجهولة التي دَبَّجَتْها يراعة (العباسي) ببراعة وإتقان، وهو أثر نفيس حقّاً إذ يَتَّصل نصُّه بالحضارة الإسلامية في القرن العاشر بما يتناول مؤلِّفه بالوصفِ الدَّقيق، والإنشاء البليغ كيفيّة الإعداد لحَفلات الزَّواج، ومدَّتها، ومراسم إقامتها، وغير ذلك مما يَتَعَلّق بهذا الحدث البهيج الذي يُسعد كُلَّ إنسان، ولا تقف هذه المحاولة عند هذا بل تُزجي نصَّ رسالة (عبد الرَّحيم العَبَّاسِيّ) محقَّقَة ومشروحة.
