"يُعاب علينا الحبُّ بعد المشيب / كأنه رجسٌ من الشيطان؛ / إثمٌ من الدنس المعيب / كأن شمس الحبِّ لها أجلُ، / إذاا انقضى، / فلا شروق بعد المغيب / كأن المرء إذا جاوز الخمسين حولاً / تجفُّ دماءُ فؤاده، / فلا يغلي، ولا يفورُ لملقى الحبيب / (...)".
في الكتاب قصائد متنوعة تغني للوطن وللحب وللإنسان جاءت باللغة العربية الفصحى واللغة المحكية / اللبنانية نذكر من عناوينها: "العشق المقيّدُ" ، "وتبقى الصورة التي لا تُمحى" ، "فات الميعاد" ، "تعال" ، "ماذا تريدُ؟" ، "زائرة" ، "أحبُّ النساء" ، "دعوة عاشق" ، "هلوسات عاشق" ...الخ.
