في إطار معرفة حقيقة النفس وأسرارها نقدِّم للقرَّاء الكِرام كتاب "أحوال النفس" للفيلسوف الرئيس أبي علي ابن سينا صاحب التصانيف في الطِّبِّ والمنطِق والطبيعيات والإلهيَّات، المتوفَّى سنة 428 هجرية، ويعتبر الكتاب من النفائس.
فقد نُقِل لأهميته إلى اللغة اللاتينية مما أدّى إلى إنتشاره بين فلاسفة أوروبا وتأثّرهم به عدّة قرون ما بين القرن الثاني عشر والسابع عشر الميلادي وكان آخرهم الفيلسوف الفرنسي ديكارت، المتوفَّى سنة 1560 هجرية، الذي تأثّر ببراهين الشيخ ابن سينا في إثبات وجود النفس وخلودها.
وإتماماً للفائدة أتبعنا الكتاب بثلاث رسائل قيِّمة لابن سينا في علم النفس هي: "القوى النفسانية"، و"معرفة النفس الناطِقة وأحوالها"، و"الكلام على النفس الناطِقة".
ثم أَضَفْنا إلى هذه الرسائل ثلاثة كتب قيِّمة اثنان منها للحكيم الترمذي محمد بن علي، المتوفَّى سنة 320 هجرية.
الكتاب الأول هو: "طبائع النفوس المسمَّى بالأكياس والمُغتَرِّبين"، والكتاب الثاني: "منازل العُبّاد من العِبادة"، أما الكتاب الثالث فهو "جواهر القلوب" للإمام أبي حامد الغزالي، المتوفى سنة 505هـ.
