يسلط هذا الكتاب الضوء على الدور الهام للأسرة في تربية الأطفال وتوجيههم الوجه السليمة مبيناً أثرها في تجنيب أبنائها تعاطي المخدرات من خلال رعايتها لأبنائها الرعاية السليمة والتنشئة المستقلة في أسرة رصينة متماسكة تزرع فيهم المسارعة لعمل الخير والحيطة والحذر من تعاطي كل ما يؤذي الإنسان في جسمه وسلوكه وسمعته وتنقلهم من جيل إلى جيل تحت الرقابة ويتناول في الباب الثاني تعاطي الأطفال للمخدرات حيث يبين أن المخدرات لم تتوقف عند فئة عمرية بل امتدت إلى الأطفال وذلك لتوفير هذه المادة وسهولة الحصول عليها وإهمال الأسرة وتصدعها ثم يشير إلى اتجاه الأطفال بالمخدرات وذلك لاتصافهم بالبساطة والبراءة وجهلهم بمخاطر هذه المواد وإغرائهم بما يتناسب ورغباتهم ومن هنا يدعو الكتاب إلى وقايتهم وذلك باهتمام الأسرة والمؤسسات بالطفولة ووضع الخطط للحفاظ على تمسك وتوفر البرامج الوقائية والعلاجية الفاعلة وتجنب رفاق السوء وتوعية الإباء والأمهات بخطورة تعرض الأطفال للمخدرات ومن التشريعات المتطورة لحماية الأطفال والأحداث وفي الباب الثالث يذكر الكتاب الشباب وتعاطيهم للمخدرات مبيناً الأسباب التي أوفقهم في هذه الأمة كرفاق السوء ووسائل الأعلام السلبية والاغتراب ثم يشير إلى أنماط التعاطي كالاستعمال التجريبي والتعاطي الاجتماعي والتعاطي العرضي والتعاطي المكثف والتعاطي القهري وفي الباب الأخير يتناول الكتاب المخدرات ورفاق السوء وأثرهم في التجربة الأولى لتعاطي المخدر وهي خطوة نحو الانزلاق في مهاوي الإدمان حيث يذكر مراحله وهي الحصول على المخدر والاشتراك في تعاطيه وفي النهاية يفرد الكتاب مساحة واسعة للعلاج من الإدمان التي تعتمد على قوة الشخصية والإدارة والإيمان بالله.
