في هذا الديوان قصائد تبحث عن حلم وتغازل المكان، صاغها "عبد الوهاب العريض، في لوحة سريالية جاءت موشحة بألوان الشعر الحديث. في "محبرة تنتحب"، أبيات شعرية مضخمة بنشيج حار محبوس في أودجة الكلمات، أو لعل الحروف قبل ولادتها من رحم المحبرة، رفضت السقوط مبتورة في عالم الصرخة الأولى، وما تلاها من مراحل على مراحل تغلي، من الصرخات".
في قصيدة بعنوان [القهوة ورائحة الصباح] يقول: "ثمة وجه في المرآة../ جسد بارد../ ينقله الطريق إلى طاولةٍ مبعثرةٍ/ حيث القصائد، والأخبار، والسينما، وصور لن تنشر.. يصب لصباحه قهوة مرة../ يفتح النوافذ المغلقة../ يعبر غرفاً ملبدةً بدخان المساء/ يحمل الصبح/ ويؤجله للظهيرة.. (...)".
تتنوع قصائد الكتاب بين الشعر والنثر، وبين عناوين تعبر عن مختلف حالات الذات الإنسانية نذكر منها: "اشتعال"، "الغربة"، "إنكسارات"، "ضجيج حالم"، "هموم تغتسل.. وأخرى تبعثرها الرمال"، "هروب"... الخ.
