يقول في قصيدة بعنوان [أحبائي]: أحبائي اقصدوا بالله داري، فداري اليوم ملأى بالداري/ عليَ التاج يلبق؛ قرب غاري، جموع الشعب، شعبي ما يداري/ سوى الأبطال؛ يا أهلي، يهجر الحبَ دوماً اقنعوني/ اسمعوني، بأرض الطهر حتى ترحموني(...) أنا ما عشت كي أنسى صحابي، وأعناب الكروم غدت شرابي(...)".
