للشعر قدرة فاعلة ومؤثرة في النفوس، فالشعر منذ القديم حظي بالإهتمام العربي فأقيمت له الأسواق والمنتديات التي يحضرها الناس كل فجٍّ عميق ليسمعوا الشعراء وينقلوا ما سمعوه... ومن واقع تأثيره وحب الناس له تخصص له رواة حافظون فنقله السلف للخلف، وأنشد جميلة وبديعه المنشدون، وليس من المبالغ فيه القول أن الشعر في الماضي كان بمثابة منبرٍ إعلامي في يومنا هذا والشعراء هم الإعلاميون فيه.
ضمن هذه الرؤية يأتي البحث في هذا الكتاب الذي أراد الباحث من خلاله الوثوق على الشعر الإعلامي في فترة الإحتلال الصليبي، وذلك منذ بدء الإحتلال اليهودي لفلسطين وحتى الآن، ليظهر شعر هذه الفترة وليبين منهج الشعراء وأثرهم في توجيه الرأي العام الإسلامي نحو هذه القضية ومساهمتهم مع الدعاة المخلصين لإيجاد جيل مسلم يحمل مسؤولية الدفاع وعبء التحرير، منطلقاً من هدف إسلامي مجيد ومعلناً "الجهاد الإسلامي طريقاً للتحرير".
وهدف الباحث من وراء ذلك متابعة القضية الفلسطينية من خلال الشعر وعلى مدى ستين عاماً او تزيد... مظهراً فيها موقف الشاعر المسلم من هذه القضية الهامة في حياة الأمة الإسلامية المعاصرة...
من هنا، انطلق الباحث مستعصياً وجاهاً للشعر الذي قيل في هذه القضية ومتتبعاً لأحداثها، على أن تكون القصائد المنتقاة موضوع الشواهد معاصرة للحدث، إلى جانب ذلك فقد اقتضى هذا البحث في الشعر الإسلامي المعاصر لقضية فلسطين إشتماله على ذكرٍ لأهم أحداث هذه القضية التاريخية، وذلك ليكون القارئ على دراية بالأحداث تاريخاً وشعراء على أن الباحث لم يغفل الشواهد والوثائق التاريخية في التحليل أو التعليق لبيان موافقتها أو مخالفتها لوجهة النظر الإسلامية ليمثل ذلك تمهيداً أمام القارئ ليكون بإستطاعته معالجة الأحداث التي تمر به في سياق هذا البحث.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنه على الرغم من كون هذا البحث بمثابة عملية تجميع من كتب متعددة، إلا أنه ليس في المكتبة العربية الإسلامية من مؤلّفٍ حوى تلك المعلومات التي أوردها الباحث مجملة مترابطة في ذاك السياق... بالإضافة إلى ذلك فإن الموضوع العام لهذا البحث هو إعلامي، وهو موضوع لم يسبق أن تم درسه على هذه الصورة من قبل.
