شهلا العجيلي كاتبة أردنية سورية ولدت عام 1976. حاصلة على دكتوراه في الأدب العربي الحديث والدراسات الثقافية من جامعة حلب، وعملت بتدريس الأدب العربي الحديث في جامعة حلب والجامعة الأميركية في مادبا في الأردن.
الجوائز
أصدرت مجموعة قصصية بعنوان "المشربيّة" (2005) ودراسات نقدية عديدة، من بينها: "الرواية السوريّة/ التجربة والمقولات النظريّة"٬ (2009) "الخصوصيّة الثقافيّة في الرواية العربيّة" (2011) و"مرآة الغريبة - مقالات في نقد الثقافة" (2006) إضافة إلى رواية "عين الهرّ" (2009) ورواية "سجاد عجميّ" (2013). وقد سبق لها أن شاركت في ورشة الكتابة الإبداعية "الندوة" التي تديرها الجائزة لتشجيع شباب الكتّاب الواعدين وكتبت قسما من روايتها "سماء قريبة من بيتنا" خلال تواجدها في ندوة عام 2014.

Book Description
"سجاد عجمي" عمل أدبي رفيع للكاتبة السورية "شهلا العجيلي" يمكن قراءته على أنه رواية وقصيدة في آن معاً، فمن جهة، ثمة بنية روائية تتمظهر في أحداث تنمو، وشخصيات تتحرك، وعلاقات تقوم بينها، ومن جهة أخرى، ثمة لغة شعرية تجسد تاريخ مرحلة بأكملها.
بالدخول إلى متن الرواية نجد أن الرواية تدور في مدينة الرقة المدينة التي تنتمي إليها الكاتبة في حين أن المرحلة الزمنية التي تتحدث عنها هي القرن الثاني الهجري وعن هذا تقول العجيلي: "تتحدث الرواية عن فترة من الفترات في تاريخ مدينة الرقة والتي هي مرحلة تغيير حاكم وتعيين حاكم جديد بدلاً عنه وما رافقها من فتنة بين المسلمين.
وضمن هذا الجو نجد حكايات أهل المدينة من رجال ونساء والتي ستستمر مع أي طرف وزمان وهي عن نساء ورجال مدينة الرقة وعن عدد الشخصيات الفاعلة وعلاقات الحب والقرابة فيما بينها وكل ذلك يدور في إطار الحدث التاريخي الجلل الذي يصب المدينة والتي كانت مركزاً مهماً من مراكز الحضارة الإسلامية آنذاك".
بهذه الحكاية وهذا الخطاب لا يقود الرواية مجرد حدث تاريخي، بل حراثة في حقل الأدب الروائي تنبئ بأديبة واعدة، ومرة جديدة تثبت "شهلا العجيلي" أنها متنبئة ماهرة لما يدور في بلادها اليوم.
