ومن (الأرجوزة) التي نظمها مؤلف الكتاب والتي بلغت ألف بيت من الشعر نقتطف أبيات من قصيدة للسوق الكبير يقول فيها: "وأغلب المواكب المعلومة، تسير وفق خطة مرسومة/ ممرها السوق الكبير المشتهر، أطول سوقٍ مستقيم يعتبر(...)".
