في كل عام ألتقي بك وأتقدم إليك لأكتب لك مقدمة عن علم الفلك تكون نابعة للمقدمة السابقة ولأخبرك كم اهتم الإنسان بالسماء وكواكب السماء وبجمالها وروعتها منذ القدم، ولقد حاول الكثيرون من العباقرة الذين ظهروا على مر التاريخ الكشف عن أسرار السماء وضحوا من أجل ذلك بعمرهم وحياتهم وكان حبهم للعلم كثيراً ما ينسيهم أنفسهم، وأولهم أحد العباقرة وهو عالم يوناني (أرخميدس) جلس في حوض الماء بقصد الإستحمام فخطرت له فكرة عبقرية عندما اندلق الماء خارج الحوض أثناء جلوسه فيه وخرج عارياً من الحمام وركض في شوارع أثينا يصيح بصوت عالٍ "وجدتها، وجدتها"، واتجه إلى قصر الملك يخبره بالإكتشاف... لقد أنساه حبه للعلم نفسه وعلم في ما بعد أنه كان يركض عارياً.
والحقيقة أن علم الفلك لم يكن عند الغرب بل كان أكثره عند العرب في العصر القديم والعصر الحالي، وهذا ما ينفي - كما يعتقد البعض - تدني مستوى العقل العربي بل تمتلك الأمة العربية عقولاً وأدمغة قادرة على مسايرة ركب الحضارة في العصر الحديث، وحتى الأطفال منا يطرحون أسئلة تزيد في مستواها عن مستوى الطالب الجامعي وكأنهم يقبضون على المقراب الفلكي بقوة ليرووا تعطشهم في النظر إلى عجائب السماء ومراقبة النجوم.
وتكثر الأسئلة؛ يقول لي أولادي عندما ينظرون إلى السماء في الليل: ما هذا الذي في السماء؟ ويكون الجواب: هذه نجوم، وما يعني النجوم؟ أجرام موجودة في الفلك يشير البعض منها إلى السعد والبعض الآخر إلى النحس؛ وما هي أنجم السعد وأنجم النحس؟ وتبقى الأسئلة إن كانت عند الكبار أم عند الصغار، ما هي الأنجم ولماذا سمي البعض منها أنجم النحس والبعض الآخر أنجم السعد؟ وما هو دورها في السماء وعلى الإنسان؟ فقد تقرؤون في كتابي هذا العام عن الكثير منها وعن كل ما يتعلق بهذه الأنجم والتي تضم الأبراج كلها.
