والهدف منه إرشاد العباد إلى الخير والرشاد، وقد تحدث الكاتب من خلاله عن أمور وموضوعات عدة منها: طول الأمل، سكرات الموت، عذاب القبر للكفار ولبعض عصاة المؤمنين، أحوال بعض الموتى، أشراط الساعة، الحساب والميزان، الشفاعة، صفة الحورعين، والإيمان، الوضوء، صلاة الجمعة، ثواب المريض، التعزية، زيارة القبور، التطير، السحر، العرافة والتنجيم، إلى ما ذلك من الموضوعات الهامة والتي تم مناقشتها وتبيان موقف الإسلام منها.
كتاب شامل فيه عقيدة من إيمان وردة، وفقه من طهارة وصلاة وزكاة وصيام وحج (مع بيان فضائلها) على مذهب الشافعية، وآيات وفضائلها وأذكار وأخلاق ومعاملات. كما تطرق إلى بعض المسائل من التنجيم والسحر والزنا والسحاق واللواط والخمر والبنج والحشيشة وغير ذلك من المواضيع.
