لقد حاول مصنّف هذه الرسالة على مدى عام ونصف من النشاط الدؤوب في تدوين هذا الأثر، ومن خلال طرحه لآراء الأستاذ المطهري الإجتماعية وعرضها على الآراء التي ينطوي عليها علم الإجتماع - نقد ودراسة بعض أفكاره الإجتماعية التي لم تجر دراستها بأسلوب علمي ومبرمج.
وقد قسّم الكتاب الذي بين يديك إلى ثلاثة أقسام: في القسم الأول: الذي يعد في الحقيقة مدخلاً للرجوع إلى النصّ الرئيسي للرسالة جرى بحث كليات المسألة وطرح الرؤى الواردة في التحقيق، وقد حاول المحقق إستجلاء المسألة والسؤال الحقيقي وطرحهما بشكل صحيح وبيان الإطار الذي تجري فيه الدراسات وحدودها وتحديد التساؤلات التي تهدف هذه الرسالة إلى الإجابة عنها.
وفي القسم الثاني: بيان للعوامل المؤثرة التي ساعدت في تبلور الفكر الإجتماعي لدى الأستاذ المطهري، وقد استغرق ستة فصول؛ أمّا في القسم الثالث من هذه الرسالة فستتم دراسة الأفكار الإجتماعية للأستاذ المطهري على صعيد أصالة الفرد والمجتمع، والتكامل الإجتماعي والتقسيم الطبقي والفوارق الإجتماعية، والقوانين الإجتماعية، وذلك من خلال إستقراء تصويري وتحليلي ونقدي.
