في جهد تأريخي مهني يترجم "جرجيس فتح الله" ثلاثة أجزاء من كتاب (السّيَر) للمؤرخ اليوناني القديم "بلوتارخ" المولود في حدود سنة 50 ميلادية في مدينة خيرونيا في بويويتا، والذي تتلمذ على يد الفيلسوف أمونيوس ما أثر عميقا في فلسفته.
يحف الكتاب بسير الملوك والأمراء والفلاسفة الإغريق الذين يضربون قدماً في التاريخ (قبل الميلاد) مثل: ثيسيوس، ورومولوس، ويوريبون، وأريسطو ذيموس، ونوما وليكورغوس، وهرقل، وهسيود وآخرون يعج بهم الكتاب ممن تزدهم ببطولاتهم كتب الأساطير، مع ذكر المؤلف لبعض الآثار التاريخية ومواقعها الشهيرة في العالم، مع بعض الصور القديمة الأكثر تعبيراً لتلك الحقبة من الزمن.
