الفزاري (000 - 188 هـ = 000 - 804 م)
إبراهيم بن محمد بن الحارث بن أسماء ابن خارجة الفزاري، أبو إسحاق: من كبار العلماء.
ولد في الكوفة وقدم دمشق وحدث بها.
وكان من أصحاب الاوزاعي ومعاصريه.
قال ابن عساكر: والفزاري
هو الذي أدب أهل الثغر (بيروت وأطرافها) وعلمهم السنة.
ورحل إلى بغداد فأكرمه الرشيد وأجله.
ثم عاش مرابطا بثغر المصيصة [ Mopsueste ] ومات بها.
له كتب منها (كتاب السير، في الأخبار والأحداث) منه الجزء الثاني مخطوط على الرق، وأجزاء على الكاغد، ملكه ابن بشكوال، وعليه خطه، في خزانة (القرويين) بفاس، رقم 3062 وفيه تلف كثير (1) [ثم طُبع].
ونعته ابن العماد بالإمام الغازي القدوة، ونقل قول أبي داود الطيالسي: مات أبو إسحاق الفزاري وما على وجه الأرض أفضل منه
