كان محمد عبد الكريم ينطلق على سجيته وعلي حسني نجار يدوّن في ذاكرته ويستوعب كل ما يدونه، حتى تجمّع لديه فيضٌ من الحكايات وبعد كفاح طويل مع المرض رحل محمد عبد الكريم تاركاً علي حسني نجار مع مجموعة من الذكريات التي وفي ذكرى ووفاء لذاك الرجل جمعها في هذا الكتاب الذي دون فيه ما استوعبه من أحاديث وحكايات محمد عبد الكريم في أيامه الأخيرة، بالإضافة إلى هذه المجموعة من الذكريات ضمّن علي حسني نجار هذا الكتاب صوراً هي من البوم أمير البزق الراحل مع كلمات لمجموعة من أهل الفن جاءت في تأبينه، بالإضافة إلى نصوص لأغاني قام بتلحينها لعدد من المطربين.
