يتناول هذا الكتاب المفهوم الجوهري للرمزية الفلسطينية في مسيرة الشعب والوطن، فهو ينطلق نحو رؤية مستقبلية، لما ورد من شهادات كتاب ومفكرين عرب حول الإنتفاضة والمقاومة، والنقاشات الدائرة حولها. ولا يتوقف الأمر عند رمزية الأرض والإنسان والوطن بما فيها الرموز المقدسة الدينية المسيحية والإسلامية ولا عند رمزية النضال الفلسطيني ومسيرة شعب ينشد الحرية والاستقلال، ورمزية الإنسان الشهيد الذي يقدم أغلى ما لديه من تضحيات، فالشهداء والشهادة رمز إنساني خالد ونبيل في تراث الشعوب، ومسيرة التضحيات لم تتوقف.. مسيرة شعب عقد العزم بأن يدافع عن الحياة في وجه أعتى قوة احتلال صهيونية عنصرية.
لا شك أن التراجيديا الفلسطينية صنعت أبطالها ورموزها: الشهيد المقاوم والقائد الشهيد الذي كان في مقدمة الصفوف مع شعبه واستشهد في ساحة المعركة دفاعاً عن أرضه وشعبه.
يتناول هذا الكتاب أيضاً شخصيات ومرجعيات وطنية عربية علمانية ودينية إسلامية ومسيحية وهؤلاء الرموز يمثلون نهجاً مقاوماً ضد الاحتلال الصهيوني وعنصريته.
هذه الرموز مثلت وحملت قضايا وطنية، حاول الاحتلال النيل منها وإقصائها: إما اغتيالاً أو اعتقالاً أو إبعاداً، إلا أن الشعب الفلسطيني مع دورة الحياة، يستمر في خلق رموزه إلى النور.
