Book Description
ولد إسبر البيطار (أبو فريد) عام 1925 في بلدة "عندقت" قضاء عكار، والده إبراهيم البيطار ووالدته وردة فخر؛ عمل في مهن عديدة منذ طفولته للحصول على لقمة العيش؛ عام 1943 انضم إلى الجيش الوطني اللبناني، ورقي خلال خدمته العسكرية إلى رتبة نائب جنبلاط.
انتسب إلى الحزب الشيوعي اللبناني خلال معركتي الإستقلال والجلاء، عام 1948، شارك في معارك تحرير المالكية وقدس، ليل العشرين من حزيران 1958 انضم أبو فريد إلى قوى الإنتفاضة الشعبية التي تفجرت ضد حكم كميل شمعون، وتولى القيادة العسكرية والتدريب في مركز المقاومة الأساسي للحزب الشيوعي اللبناني في الطريق الجديدة.
واصل نضاله في إطار الحزب الشيوعي اللبناني وتدريب قواته العسكرية في معسكر فرج الله (قبريخا) وفي معسكر المونتي فردي لحركتي "الأنصار" و"الحرس الشعبي" من أجل مقاومة الإعتداءات الإسرائيلية على قرى الجنوب؛ عام 1976 عمل قائداً لحرس الأمن الشعبي للحركة الوطنية اللبنانية، وعضواً في لجنة وقف إطلاق النار، توفي إسبر بيطار "أبو فريد" يوم 14 آب 1993.
وفي صفحات هذا الكتاب مذكرات "أبو فريد" من تاريخ المقاومة الوطنية و"الإنتفاضة" ضد حكم شمعون 1958.
